GAM is open!

On Friday, June 12, GAM finally reopened its doors after temporary closure due to Covid-19 containment measures. The Fondazione Torino Musei invites its public to visit the Museum’s collections in total safety. Admission is limited and, thanks to some simple behavior guidelines, a pleasant and safe visit is guaranteed.

The Museum will observe the follow days and hours:

Until July 31:
Monday and Friday, from 1 pm to 8 pm
Saturday and Sunday, from 10 am to 7 pm
CLOSED Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

From August 1:
Thursday and Friday, from noon to 7 pm
Saturday and Sunday, from 10 am to 7 pm
CLOSED Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

Please note the ticket office closes one hour earlier.

Bookings for Museum and exhibition access can be done on the website TicketOne; reservations are recommended but not mandatory. Admission to the exhibition Horses costumes and residences Rediscovering Carlo Pittara’s Fiera di Saluzzo (sec. XVII)  is free with the “Helmut Newton” ticket.

In addition to the permanent collections, visitors may also attend the shows Helmut Newton. Works and Horses costumes and residences Rediscovering Carlo Pittara’s Fiera di Saluzzo (sec. XVII) both extended until September 20The new exhibition dedicated to Giuseppe Chiari in the Video Library is also free.

Starting June 24 the new exhibition at the Wunderkammer, Formless/form The non-objective phase of Italian Photography 1935-1958, is open to the public.

 

Admission
Admission is granted to a limited number of visitors so as to guarantee proper social distancing.

Body temperature will be measured upon entering the Museum. If it is 37.5°C or higher, you will be asked to leave, along with all members of your group.  

  • Visitors are requested to wear masks during their entire stay inside the Museum;
  • On line, in the ticket office, and during your visit you are required to maintain a distance of 2 meters from other visitors and Museum staff;  
  • Along the tour you are asked to follow the directions of the Museum staff and signs;  
  • Disinfectant gel is freely available to visitors.

The Fondazione Torino Musei has faced the delicate phase of reopening through in-depth analysis with the Politecnico di Torino and Onleco Srl, which brought about new safety measures imposed by the Covid-19 emergency.

Thorough, consistent, and periodical Museum cleaning and disinfecting is guaranteed.
