The exhibition features works and documents that have marked the history of art and science from the seventeenth century to the present day.
Installed on the first floor of GAM, the exhibition traces the career of Elisabetta Di Maggio, presenting both historical works and new pieces created specifically for the museum’s spaces.
In the spaces of the GAM Videotheque takes shape a tribute to Lothar Baumgarten, an artist who passed away in 2018, renowned for intertwining aesthetic research with profound anthropological and ecological reflection.
GAM presents the first anthological exhibition in an Italian institution dedicated to Linda Fregni Nagler, curated by Cecilia Canziani. The artist employs photography as a means of reflecting on vision, memory, and the materiality of the image, weaving together collecting practices, research, and narrative.

In 1972 the Galleria Civica d’Arte Moderna in Turin celebrated the work of Fausto Melotti (Rovereto, 1901 - Milan, 1986) with a large retrospective that consecrated him as one of the masters of Italian art. More than fifty years later, as part of SECONDA RISONANZA, the GAM is dedicating a new major exhibition to the artist, organised in collaboration with Fondazione Fausto Melotti in Milan, and curated by Chiara Bertola and Fabio Cafagna. The exhibition traces Melotti’s entire career from his abstract beginnings in the 1930s to his artistic maturity.
As part of SECONDA RISONANZA, running from 15 April to 7 September 2025, GAM – Galleria Civica d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Torino (Turin Modern and Contemporary Art Gallery) presents Dove lo spazio chiama il segno (Where the Space Calls Forth the Sign) a major retrospective exhibition of the work of Alice Cattaneo (Milan, 1976), curated by Giovanni Giacomo Paolin.
The GAM present, as part of the SECONDA RISONANZA, an exhibition curated by Elena Volpato, dedicated to the films of Giosetta Fioroni, preserved in the Videoteca collection.
